A message from Mrs Ward

Dear Parents and Children,

I hope that you all had a wonderful half term break.

We have had a busy start to the second half of the autumn term and yesterday held our celebration assembly for Black History month.  During Black History Month, we remember and celebrate the important people from the past and also those who contribute to and help our society today.  Please see some of our photos below.

I am delighted to inform you that Mr Martin Pritchard our new Site Supervisor started today.  Mr Pritchard is looking forward to getting to know you all better over the next few weeks.  I know you will welcome him to St Michael's.

Today we say a sad farewell to Gurcharm who is a member of the kitchen team.  Gurcharm has worked at St Michael's for the past 23 years and has worked hard to ensure that our children are served hot delicious meals.  We wish her a restful and happy retirement and thank her for all her many years of service.

Finally, next week Father Bob, Miss Harvey and myself will be taking a group of year 5 children on a pilgrimage to Rome.  We will be joining both St Edward's and St Joachim's on our pilgrimage and will pray for you all.

Have a lovely weekend.

Warmest regards

Mrs Ward
