Year 5 Tennis Tournament
Some of our Year 5 children attended a Tennis tournament on Thursday. They played exceptionally well and Mr Jones was incredibly proud of their commitment and effort. We came second in our group beating Nelson Primary 3-1, Roman Road 4-0 and lost to St Edwards 3-2.
Then in the semi-final vs. St Anthony's we won 5-1 and in the final drew 3-3 with St Joachim's. Sadly, nerves and pressure got the best of us and we lost 7-4 in the tie break.
Star player of the day was Marlon for winning every singles game and showing so much effort and commitment! Well done Marlon!
Tower of London Trip, reported by Nicholas and Pratigna.
Classes 1, 3 and 4 went to the Tower of London recently. We met a jailer called Benit, who told us the amazing story of John Gerard. He told us that everyone was blaming him as he had let a very important prisoner escape! John Gerard was in prison for being Catholic.

May is the month of Mary.
During the month of May we pay homage to our mother Mary. Her life in the Gospel years was one of service and great devotion to Jesus, from the stable in Bethlehem where she gave birth to Him, to Calvary in Jerusalem where she stood by His cross in His Crucifixion, from Crib to Cross, as it were.
We use May as an opportunity to renew our own devotion to the Mother of God by praying the Rosary.
